Monkey to Man

I was recently passing time like half my awake time of the day on Facebook, saw Nagendra Shaan's post on how monkey's never go bald, hence Darwin lied to us about theory of evolution.

Now this triggerd me to think about two things which I always want to talk about, I have seen so many videos of monkey's falling asleep but waking up with a huge jerk.  This huge jerk I have observed in Zoos too, I saw that in Mysore Zoo huge gorilla & recently Panda in Hong Kong zoo.  From many readings and hours on Discovery & NGC channel, plus my endless bantering with people who are as insane as me, I am in complete agreement with Darwin.  This could even be influenced from a programme or an article I have read some time back or even Sharon Stone from Basic Instinct.  I mean this is all part of our DNA and our Basic Instinct.  Where did monkey's sleep? on the tree's right? so what used to happen when they fell asleep.. they fell down, hurt themselves bad & even get eaten by predators.  Infact how did this term "fall asleep" come into existance?  So when we wake up from such falling dreams it is never pleasent, its pretty shocking.  My first point proving the theory of evolution.

Now the second point, have you not wondered standing and staring outside to infinity and beyond? just standing at the balcony looking at the skies, trees, birds, buildings etc. and just enjoy that moment & how pleasent it has been to you, I prefer to do this when ever I get time in office or at home, just stand there and stare at nothingness.  Now this connects directly to the watch monkey's, the monkey's who take turns to watch out for danger from a height when other monkey's are playing and relaxing.  Like how a silver back gorilla looks out for danger when other gorillas are foraging around him.  This job is very responsible but it will give that huge satisfaction of taking care of the entire tribe plus the confidence that there is no clear and present danger makes the watch even more relaxing.  Now that part of the DNA also has survived.  Hence we like to stare at nothingness and find so much pleasure doing that.
