Bangalore from my memories...

I shared these memories of my Bangalore for Nirlek, for his photography exhibition, PORTRAITS OF A CITY (June 9th-25th 2015). He had asked me to share a memory/story about why you consider yourself a Bengalurean and what you connect with in the city to call yourself one. I wrote these... People: Cultures and Communities  The lovely people of Gandhi Bazar in Basavanagudi who have grown me up in many ways.  They taught me that it is wrong to ogle at women, give them your chair in the bus or in the park, help the old people to cross the road, buy a stranger food if he was begging and play gully cricket with children on the road.  Not to pelt stones at dogs or to shoo away grazing cows & to follow rules laid by the neighborhood.  Respect your elders & teachers, to imply what is good with your peers and youngsters.
