I hit bollywood!!! Yes acted in a Bollywood movie "Yeh Fhassa", in an funny scene with one and only comedy king Johny Lever. And realized First Sandlewood & now Bollywood.
This came as a simple chance to me and thanks to Bangalore which has dearth of actors who can speak Hindi. Also thanks to good friend Arun Sagar the set maker for many movies I suddenly got a call after my morning walk. He said theres a movie directed by Indrajit Lankesh (Old Govindappa Road acquaintance) and they need a good Hindi speaking theater artist. Immediately got a call from the production manager Babu and I landed up there by 11 am after sending few mails to workplace and excusing myself from work that day. Thanks to my new company PGSL who are really considerate in such matters.
I spoke to Abbas Hirapurwala after settling down at the location about the movie story. Simple story about seventh year itch of marriage. Arbaaz Khan and Tara Sharma are happily married with a daughter. Arbaaz loves a movie star from childhood and she suddnly lands in their apartment. He falls for her and gets ready to have action with her. But realises that hes doing wrong and movie has happy ending.
The apartment has other inmates Rakehs Bedi & Rubi, Razzak Khan (Fayyaaazz Takkar
), Vivek Shah as Mishraji (Flop Show fame) and finally Johny Lever as Cheda & Vanita Vasu. Vanita has habit of wearing things that doesn't belong to her. Vivek mistakes her to be his wife one day when shes wearing his wifes sarre and hugs her from behind. Johny Lever sees this and grows mad. But Vivek is over apologetic and asks milk man to give free milk to him and seeks apology in return. No marks for guessing I am the milk man. Story is quite heard of or similar to another famous Kannada comedy movie, yes it is, again no marks for guessing its a remake of Golmaal Radhakrishna (who can forget Petromax haan?).
So actual shoot time was about 30 mts since I fumbled when Johny Bhai changed the dialogues and made it more comical. Then he spent some 10 minutes with me simplifying the dialogues. And then it happened. Shoot time or reel time including cut shots was around 10 minutes.
Check out the Video I made during the eight hours at the location here

As I see it, Sandlewood over, Bollywood over and now next target is Hollywood
